Our Services Wakefield Team We provide supported accommodation in WDH and other RSL/Housing Association properties in the Wakefield Metropolitan District Council area. We work in partnership with the National Probation Service and local Housing Associations and have access to over 80 single person flats across the area. Our Housing Schemes Supported Housing for Ex-Offenders We provide temporary and permanent supported accommodation for single people involved with the criminal justice system or who may be at risk of re-offending. We have single unit trainer flats and single tenancies which are visited between three and once a week depending upon support level. We also offer pre-tenancy support to persons on our waiting list and up to three months post-tenancy support after handover to the RSL.
ARC (Attaining Resettlement Confidence) Scheme We work with offenders with mental health problems or learning difficulties on this scheme. There is a qualified mental health nurse in the team as a support worker to give more specialist support and advice. The support in this scheme is at a higher level.
Drug Rehabilitation Requirement (DRR) Scheme On this scheme we work with the DRR/DIP team to offer supported housing to those on DRRs. We cooperate with the DRR staff to promote the successful completion of the orders.
Youth Development and Support Service Scheme (YOT) We have five single person flats for clients of the YOT service for 16/17 year olds.
Fhrst Scheme (Foundation Housing are Sustaining Tenancies) This is a floating support service aimed at preventing the breakdown of tenancies where the tenant(s) have substance or alcohol misuse issues putting their tenancy at risk. We work with the local RSLs , drug and mental health agencies on this scheme and we work with all households types (single, couples with or without children).
