The Selby Team provides a range of supported accommodation for people
who are homeless or in housing need.
Cygnet House
Our eight bed homeless young people’s hostel is now well established
within central Selby.
Trainer Flats
We have a block of twelve supported ‘trainer’ flats which
we use, along with various single tenancies with Housing Associations
to support tenants towards independent living.
Supported Tenancy Scheme
A joint venture between Foundation Housing and Selby District Council.
This exciting project provides an holistic
approach to supported housing in Selby by working with other agencies
such as health, social services and probation who all refer to the scheme.
Connexions Partnership
This project is working to enable young people in the Selby
district to access housing and support services. Our
Connexions Personal Advisor provides support and encourages take up
of appropriate learning opportunities. Providing a range of housing
and support services to socially excluded groups in the Selby District.
Substance misuse worker
Funded by the Primary Care Trust to work with young people using a harm
reduction approach to drugs misuse.
We work in partnership with Selby District Council, Probation, Social
Services, DARG, Connexions and York/Selby
Primary Care Trust.
