Our Services Scarborough Team
We are a Connexions access point and we have a Connexions Personal Advisor. Our designated employment and training advisor can assist in finding work or learning opportunities. Our Foyer provides suitable accommodation with linked access to training, education and employment opportunities for 16-25 year olds needing support in their transition from youth to adulthood. We assist customers in obtaining or improving their financial employment and life skills necessary to live independently. The Supported Housing scheme provides 24 bed spaces for ex offenders and young people living chaotic lives. Support workers are assigned to each customer and assist with move in and other tenancy related matters. Support is offered in accordance with individual needs. The Floating Support scheme is a flexible peripatetic service facilitating a range of support to people in their own homes. When no longer required it can ‘float off’ to another person who needs it. We can offer 12 placements to customers referred from probation. We offer a bond guarantee to existing customers aimed at those in work who are ready to move out of supported housing. We are a satellite service for the Big Issue and manage the vendors in Scarborough Whitby and Bridlington. Our building also houses a drop in centre and a Bistro. The Bistro provides affordable nourishing meals and snacks. We also provide laundry and shower facilities. The services of an animateur enable young people to set up leisure activities to positively occupy their time. Partnerships are a key priority for us, as we are reliant on other agencies skills to deliver a meaningful holistic service to our customers. We maintain close working partnerships with drug agencies, benefit agencies, mental health projects and the usual statutory agencies. On a more strategic level we sit on the Local Strategic Partnership, two Local Economic Development Pacts, Town Centre Management, DARG Connexions, The Area Learning Partnership, Vox, Domestic Violence Forum, Foyer Federation and Safer Communities to name but a few. To make a referral please contact us on the Scarborough number and any member of the team will be able to advise you. Contact Information: Tel: 01723 361100
